Spicy ECCC or Emerald City ComiCon Pictures

The Emerald City ComiCon or ECCC was held this past weekend for the ninth year. (What does this have to do with SEO, Social Media or Community? Well #ECCC was very popular on Twitter the past few days. Then there is the massive community aspect. Getting tens of thousands of raving fans under one roof celebrating together what they all love. Also, comic book conventions are very geek related, and I am a geek so there is the more obvious connection.) Each year this outstanding comic book convention grows bigger and bigger, and I have been attending the ECCC since the beginning with some intermittent absences here and there. If you are a comic buff then you must hit this annual event because you can find that elusive back-issue you have been seeking for years. There are dozens of comic vendors that from all appearances packed their entire shop for display and sale at the convention.

If you want to see some big name celebrities up close then you should also hit up the ECCC. This year featured William Shatner, Bruce Boxleitner, Felicia Day, Jonathon Frankes, Sean P. Lanery and many more. Comic industry all-stars like Ed Brubaker, Frank Cho, Tim Sale, Greg Rucka, Brian Michael Bendis and others interact with their fans right on the convention floor. You will also find plenty of people in costume. The famed 501st Legion was present representing Star Wars, and a slew of cosplay enthusiasts became their favorite character, hero or villain. Below are a few pictures I snapped, and you have to admit the second one is a fantASStic.

Mystique and Rogue from X-Men

As you can see these raving fans put lots of effort in their costumes (Well one put very little into theirs, but it was still eye catching). Rogue and Mystique were dead on with their wardrobe, hair and makeup, and the Mandalorian Mercs were very photog popular. It was a great time and I will certainly be there next year. Yo Joe!
